We are delighted to share some exciting news – four members of the MAK Community Care team have been shortlisted as finalists in the prestigious Social Care Leadership Awards. This recognition is a wonderful testament to their passion, dedication, and commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives.
Linda Hurst – Clinical Nurse Manager
Linda joined MAK Community Care in December 2024, bringing with her more than 40 years of nursing experience. She plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of both the People We Support and our staff team, offering guidance, compassion, and a listening ear. Linda also strengthens the clinical foundations of our services, ensuring care is delivered with expertise and heart.
Sarah Caines – Lifetime Achievement (Home Care)
Known affectionately as “The Rainbow Lady”, Sarah has dedicated 17 years to the care sector. As the driving force behind MAK Community Care and other organisations, she leads with vision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her work has inspired teams nationwide and left a legacy of kindness and growth.
Amber Richards – The ESG Leader Award
Amber is our Transition and Compliance Lead, overseeing supported living services in her area. She supports teams to deliver safe, person-centred care while ensuring compliance with best practice and regulations. By working closely with professionals and commissioners, Amber helps develop effective strategies that create lasting, positive impact.
Olivia Scott – Executive Learning Disabilities & Autism Leader
Olivia brings both personal and professional experience to her leadership, championing inclusive opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism. Her dedication is focused on empowering voices, creating meaningful change, and building a culture of inclusion and respect.
