MAK Community Care’s Kent Team Raises Funds for Last Chance Animal Rescue

The Kent team at MAK Community Care has kicked off its annual charity event with a sponsored dog walk in support of Last Chance Animal Rescue. The charity walk is a beloved tradition for the team, and this year, they are aiming to raise £100 to help the local animal rescue group continue its mission of rescuing dogs, cats, and rabbits in need of loving homes. So far, the team has raised an impressive £70.
Each year, the Kent team selects a charity that holds personal significance. For the past several years, the team has walked in support of animal-related causes, with last year’s event benefiting Dogs for Autism. This year, the team chose Last Chance Animal Rescue due to its close proximity and alignment with the values of the community they support.
One of the gentlemen they care for, who has autism, has a deep love for dogs. The joy he experiences when he sees a dog is a heartwarming reminder of the powerful bond between animals and the people they support. This year’s walk is a celebration of that connection and the happiness that dogs can bring to people’s lives.
While images of the individuals involved in the walk cannot be shared, the team has included a photo of one of their staff members with pets to highlight the joy animals bring to the event.
Last Chance Animal Rescue is known for rescuing and rehoming animals in need, and the funds raised from this walk will go directly to supporting their ongoing work. The Kent team is calling on the community to donate, no matter how small, to help reach their goal.
