Lincolnshire-Based Care Provider Achieves Industry Award Success, Expands Local Services, and Showcases Expertise on the Global Stage
MAK Community Care, a leading independent provider of mental health services across Lincoln Grantham, Skegness, and Gainsborough, is celebrating a year of exceptional milestones. From national award recognition to international representation and significant expansion of local services, 2024 has been a year of remarkable growth for the organisation, which is headquartered in Allenby Business Park, Lincoln.
Sarah Caines, Head of Service- Director, at MAK, has been named to the 2024 Social Care Leadership Top 30 at the prestigious Social Care Leadership and Social Care Premier Supplier Awards. This recognition places Sarah among the most influential figures in the sector, acknowledging her visionary leadership and her tireless commitment to enhancing mental health care services.
“I’m incredibly honoured to be recognised as part of the Social Care Leadership Top 30,” said Sarah Caines.
“This achievement is a reflection of the incredible work done by the entire team at MAK Community Care. Every day, we are focused on delivering personalised care that not only meets the immediate needs of individuals but also empowers them to live independently and with dignity. This award is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the trust we’ve built with those we support.”
Over the past year, MAK Community Care has significantly grown its workforce, recruiting and retaining 70 new staff members to meet the rising demand for its services. This growth is part of MAK’s ongoing effort to provide high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with complex needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and autism.
In addition to its recruitment success, MAK has expanded its services across the region with the opening of four new properties in Skegness, Lincoln, Grantham and Gainsborough. These newly developed assisted living accommodations offer even more options for individuals requiring safe, supportive, and nurturing environments, reinforcing MAK’s commitment to meeting the diverse needs of the local community.
October also saw MAK Community Care take its expertise to the global stage when it was selected as one of only a few UK companies invited to participate in the Global Health Exhibition and Medical Trade Fair in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This prestigious event provided an opportunity for MAK to showcase its innovative approaches to mental health care to an international audience and explore new collaborative opportunities in the Middle East.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished this year,” Sarah continued. “Our success is directly tied to the passion and dedication of our team, as well as the trust and respect we’ve earned from the people we support. The expansion in both our workforce and our properties reflects the increasing demand for high-quality, personalised care. We’re excited for the future and look forward to continuing to expand our impact—both locally and globally—in the years to come.”
