I have over 25 years experience in supporting vulnerable adults and children and have carried out various roles in an extensive health and social care career. I have worked for several organisations, both large and small, providing support to people with learning disabilities, mental health and other associated complex needs. A qualified principal instructor in physical interventions, having spent a number of years in learning and development and working nationally with many care organisations supporting people with complex behaviours that challenge. I am an advocate of PBS and have worked within this framework of delivering quality services for many years making significant changes in the quality of life for people.

I am an ambitious and highly motivated individual who possesses strong team management skills, realising the importance of leading by example. Determination and flexibility encourage me to go the extra mile and I flourish in a caring environment which makes a difference. I champion my team and support them fully within their roles whilst encouraging them to continue to grow as development is of paramount importance to me.

I have worked in various areas of Health and Social Care for over 10 years and most recently within the Supported Living sector.

I have supported those with Mental Health needs and Learning Disabilities to lead an enjoyable, independent fulfilling lifestyle.

I am a mum of 3 children, 2 cats and a dog. I enjoy long dog walks, quiz nights and social events with friends.

I have worked in the care industry for 30 years. I’ve worked with and supported young people and adults to live in their own homes and I’ve managed those services too. I hold my Registered Managers Award and have been registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for a number of years.

I’m passionate about the care and support I provide, whether that be working with and supporting someone myself or managing and running the company which supports you. Quality, being person-centred and giving the best possible support I can is at the heart of everything I do.

I am firstly a Mum of a wonderful young man who has a Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Autism and 5 other little gems (not all so little any more) a dog and 3 horses!

I have over 11 years professional experience in Supported Living, Support at home, Day Services and hydrotherapy services. Plus whole life time of personal experiences, so I understand how difficult it can be at times but also the amazing times.

I have joined the team at MAK due to us all sharing the same values and we all genuinely care about people. I believe we can make a difference and ensure you receive person centred care, this is our main focus. We will also ensure that the support teams are respected and well rewarded for the wonderful work they do.

I am a very driven person who will always go above and beyond. I work well under pressure and am a great motivator. Ensuring I get the best from the team. Encouraging and inspiring the whole team to work together to exceed their own goals and to ensure the support is the best for you.

Dave O’Brien

I have worked in the care industry since 1995.

I worked for 20 years with a local charity providing supported living, residential care, respite and day service provisions for adults with a learning disability.

I began as a support worker and progressed within the company to Service Manager when I left in 2014. During my time with this company I gained NVQ Level 2,3 & 4 in Care as well as Level 4 Leadership and Management in the Care Sector (LMCS). I was also a Registered Manager with CQC.

I then spent almost 2 years in an office based role completing rotas for a home based elderly care agency. During my time there I also provided hands on support and gained my NVQ Level 5 in Care.

Since then I have returned to work in LD/MH support work and management.

I believe that whatever your job title in the care industry you should always be available at any level for both the people you support and colleagues alike. I endeavour to manage services and people as I would like to be managed, fairly and with respect.

Teresa Pannett

I am passionate about ensuring people have every opportunity to live a fulfilling life, empowering them to have control and choice in all areas of their life.

Georgie Vaughan

I decided to work with MAK Community Care as this company really stood out for me compared to others. MAK has a very family orientated feel to it as well as being honest and genuine to their word especially when it comes to the care towards their clients.

A little bit about me is that I enjoy music, board games and movies. I love outdoor activities especially kayaking and Go ape and generally being outside going on nature walks in particular.

Courtney Vaughan

Hi I’m Courtney.  I am a fun bubbly person, who is immensely enjoying my role at MAK Community Care as I like to add value and make a difference. I have found my vocation and gain personal reward at the end of every working day. I enjoy learning and look forward to progressing within my role. I start my day smiling and end my day smiling.
